Vampires in Oblivion were absolute beasts though since it buffed basically everything and gave so many useful abilities. All it really did negative was require better planning on long trips so you leave at dusk and either have cover quickly at your location on break your trip into smaller trips, and for shopping you always do it at dawn or dusk so shops are open but you don't burn bad.
